On Thursday, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met Alex Miller, Deputy Speaker of the Knesset of the State of Israel.
The Parties called for promotion and
extension of bilateral relations, especially the parliamentary constituent.
"We appreciate a high level of political dialogue, and hope that the visit of the President of the State of Israel to Ukraine will give incentive to the development of bilateral relations", V.Lytvyn stated.
V.Lytvyn believes that the visit of the Knesset delegation will promote inter-parliamentary cooperation between the factions, committees and groups of friendship. He deems necessary "to make relations sustainable", developing a corresponding cooperation plan.
V.Lytvyn calls for discussing the issue of a free trade regime to be established between Ukraine and Israel to facilitate economic growth and development of tourism.
He believes that further cooperation in humanitarian and scientific sectors is also promising.
The Head of the Parliament expressed
his gratitude to the Israel
party for the introduction of a visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens. In his turn, A. Miller expressed his expectations for a relevant
resolution to be adopted by Ukraine.
